Customers

These are the customers we make pallet labels for. Each page states which label type and which fields are the starting point, and where that comes from.

The logos below belong to our clients’ customers: the parties the labelled pallets are shipped to. They are not our brands and no partnership with them is claimed.

Supermarket chain

A pallet bound for a supermarket chain passes through a distribution centre where it is scanned on arrival. The label carries the entire goods receipt there: if the SSCC is wrong, the shipment drops out of automatic processing.

Discounter

Discounters run a narrow range at high turnover. Goods receipt is tightly organised, with little room for a pallet that has to be sorted out by hand.

Wholesale / foodservice

A wholesaler receives mixed pallets across a broad range. Precisely then, one scannable SSCC per logistic unit is the difference between flowing through and sorting out.

Non-food

Household goods, toys and drugstore items have no shelf life. That makes the label shorter: article code and quantity, and often no batch number.

Buying group

A buying group purchases on behalf of affiliated retail formats. The labelling agreement is often central, while the pallets go to the distribution centres of the individual members.

EDI service provider

When the message traffic with your customers runs through a service provider, the label stays the same: same GS1 standard, same fields. The SSCC is the code where goods receipt and the paperwork meet.

Customer not on the list?

The label follows the GS1 standard, not the customer. If yours deviates from it, send us their labelling instruction and we will tell you whether it fits and what it takes.
